ART III & IV
Advanced Art (Studio and Commercial ART):   This Course will offer
new mediums while continuing the development of drawing skills.  Students
will expand their drawing and mark making to advance their visual
communication skills by exploring a variety of design processes,
techniques, compositional and aesthetic concepts.   Students will be
expected to make more informed decisions about their art making process.
Students will also be give the opportunity to start exploring individual
interests with consideration to more sophisticated mark making.

Students will have a hands on approach to tools and mediums used in
studio art.  For example, they will stretch their own canvas and use the light
table for the first time to make repetitions of their art for commercial use.
Students will also, for the first time, keep a "sketchbook".

Parts of this class including the "sketchbook" and some projects can be
used to replace the summer element of AP ART, for interested students.

Fee $25: includes - 6B graphite pencil, Mars Plastic Eraser, Double ended
blending stump, sketchbook. Students will also have access to expensive
materials such as oil paint and mediums, set of brushes ($50 if lost),
illustration board, clay and more.

Students must have a personal Digital Camera for 3rd quarter, SLR
recommended but not required.   Students must have the ability and funds
to print their own photography.
